In 2014 I began working with my friend Cindy DuVall in her glass studio. We had been experimenting with combining my art printed on metal and adding natural elements such as bone, antler, wood, etc. A couple years later I began to paint original oils on aluminum and simplied the design, making them easy to hang on the wall.
Every element of these I hand craft myself: layers of fused glass are designed specifically for the oil painting and these in turn are "floated" above a backdrop of the same aluminum treated differently, making for a clean, unique look.
I will continue to make the more freeform designs seen at the bottom of this page, but the framed pieces are more popular for the ease of hanging them. They are lovely in groupings! Most are smaller in size making an easy fit in snug places or amongst a vignette on a stand atop a side or sofa table. One thing is for certain....they are uniquely creative and certain to be different than the typical art forms. These are ALL orginial oil paintings....I no longer do prints on metal. Enjoy! Most of the pieces of glass art seen above can also be mounted to a wall with a bracket system should you desire it. The mounts give the glass an appearance of floating off the wall, casting beautiful shadows and color when light is cast upon them.
