I believe that all places in the universe are enriched by the presence of an animal. My constant goal is to honor their spirit; to elevate their position beyond a mere critter into a spectacular living creation. I have had a lifelong love affair with art and beasts. Being able to blend these two into a career as a fine artist is a dream livelihood. My Father was a modern day Mountain Man, leading our family on adventures and teaching us a love and reverence for the great outdoors. This steeped-in-nature childhood created the foundation for my work today. I aim to portray the animal kingdom as another nation…each denizen with a full spectrum of emotion, intelligence and feeling.
The following works are what I consider traditional in that they are oils on either a canvas or a linen surface. In some cases they are oil on aluminum but framed traditionally without the fused glass layers seen on my other page.
