LAYERED GLASS ART
In 2014 I began working with a friend in her glass studio. We had been experimenting with combining my art printed on metal and adding natural elements such as bone, antler, wood, etc. A couple of years later I began to paint original oils on aluminum and simplified the design, making them easy to hang on the wall.
Every element of these I hand-craft myself: the layers of fused glass I designed specifically for the oil painting and these, in turn, are “floated” above a backdrop of the same aluminum treated differently as a background, making for a unique and multidimensional look.
Due to several changes, I will no longer be creating new pieces of this body of artwork.The ones still available are the final ones ~ once sold this body of work will no longer be collectible.
