Godek the orugantan is about to become a first time father!!! His mate Batu is ready to give birth any day now! (Written September 14 2024). This is very exciting news for Woodland Park Zoo, where they live for it’s the first time in 35 years the zoo will welcome a baby orangutan. Painting Godek was a humbling and enlightening experience. Those deep set eyes gazed most thoroughly all the time. I felt very connected to this great ape! This painting was created for my solo show “Art 4 Animals” with special pricing designed to get it into the hands of collectors that are dedicated to animal conservancy.
